Unfortunately,
I missed the week 2 due to some Internet issue, but here I am again at the end
of week 3 "The Delicious Week" , which has been an interesting week. It is still hard for me to manage
my time for this week.
Anyway, I am calling this post “Delicious Week” because we
were introduced to Delicious.
It's a web, where you can save all the interesting links that you find on the
Internet and get access to them where ever you are and when ever you want. You
can also share the links you save with others. When I read the task and click
on the link, I found that I am already a user at Delicious, but probably never
used it, or maybe forgot about it. I think now, and whenever I come across good
websites, I will save them on my Delicious page https://delicious.com/fatemaalbaqqali
Moreover, we had 2 discussions this week about Developing
Listening Skills with Authentic Materials and The Employment of CALL in
Teaching Second/Foreign Language Speaking Skills. I read two of the articles
suggested. They were focusing on Listening, Speaking and Pronunciation. The topics
were very familiar to me as I am still a college student and these topics are highlighted
in my courses, but reading more about them encourages me to learn more about
using technology and authentic materials in a language classroom, which
sometimes become very difficult and challenging. I will talk about it on my
next entry. I will probably apply many of the things I have learned from this week
and share them with my colleagues.
Along with that, we got the chance to read different project
report designed by different participants who took the WebSkills course, which
gave me a better idea on how the final project we are designing by the end of
this course will look like.
I am very excited for the coming weeks. Can’t wait.
